DAVID SHAH: QUANTUM FASHION – A Philosophy of Design
David Shah (View-Publications)
Duality, multiple states and the uncertainty principle
No, this is not a science lesson. But quantum mechanics does bear some startling resemblances to unexplanable phenomena in fashion and design at the moment – duality, uncertainty, multiple states, entanglement and collapses.
David Shah navigates his way through a world hi-spending VICs and disinterested consumers, broken and booming economies, Brat Girls and Tradwives, sport and fashion, status symbols asheets and bed rotting, starwars and ecotherapy, crochet and AI, sex and abstinance… Quantum physics allows for particles to be in two states at the same time. Can we do the same or do we have to choose? If so, what’s the best wave to follow?

Calling all positive changemakers: What hurdles do you encounter within your company/brand? Join us to explore opportunities for the drivers of change: CSR, Design, Procurement
Niccy Kol (Raddis Cotton), Simon Angel (MUNICH FABRIC START)
We invite you to a dynamic and thought-provoking roundtable discussion designed to explore opportunities for these drivers of change (CSR, design, procurement), within the textile and fashion industries.
📌
Key Topics of Discussion:
- How do we (as innovators and suppliers) empower the “changemakers” (the internal project managers) within companies to drive positive change?
- How can we improve and activate business development between innovators and brands?
- What matters most for brands to integrate new material sources: Is it the aesthetics, or the positive impact created?
Your Hosts:
🎤
Simon Angel (Sustainable Innovations Curator) and
Niccy Kol (regenerative Business Developer) will open the conversation by sharing example cases and insights to inspire a lively exchange of ideas, frustrations, and actionable solutions.
Let’s spark change together! We look forward to seeing you there.
